My Fellow Orange County Republicans –
2020 is here and Republicans are out in full force fighting to take back our county. Ballots drop in just one week and we need your help. Sign up to volunteer today at ocgop.org/volunteer and we can set you up on an easy to use app to walk your neighborhood.
The March primary will be the launch of Orange County's transition into Vote Centers. This is a big change for all voters so we have created an informational website to inform all voters on their options to get their vote in by March 3rd. Visit ocgop.org/vote to find your nearest Vote Center, Ballot Drop Box, and how you can make your vote count.
At our January Central Committee meeting we hosted Supervisor Don Wagner, whose election will be decided in the March primary. His seat is critical to holding our Republican majority on the Board of Supervisors. This will require all hands on deck from Republican volunteers to defeat the Democrats' efforts to flip our county government. A Democrat take over of our local government will leave our county unrecognizable.
The effort to save our South Orange County State Assembly seat in the 73rd District is a top priority for us as well. We have endorsed Laguna Niguel Mayor Laurie Davies. We are engaging in an aggressive precinct walk and digital program to get Laurie Davies into the "Top 2" as our only option to keep this seat in the Republican column. Laurie Davies has outraised Assemblyman Brough in the latest FPPC filings and internal polling shows we are in a strong position to hold this seat and elect Mayor Laurie Davies.
February will mark the start of our largest annual fundraising campaign leading up to our 21st Annual Flag Day Salute on Saturday, June 13th. Our campaign launches at our February Central Committee meeting when we will open up table and ticket sales. This is one of the largest annual Republican events in the state. We are working on securing a top speaker that you won't want to miss. This single event funds our annual operating budget. We hope you can support your party and join us for this great event.
Once again I cannot stress enough how much we need volunteers on the ground in the next few weeks. If you have an hour or a day to dedicate to fighting for our county it will go a long way to winning in March.
