** an Invitation to explore the witness of Bonhoeffer ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Friends,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us for our upcoming open online class titled Bonhoeffer and the Future of Faith ([link removed]) . This class will explore the work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and examine how his ideas remain relevant to the challenges we face today.
Bonhoeffer was a German theologian and Lutheran pastor who lived during the tumultuous period of Nazi Germany. As a leader who actively opposed the Nazi regime, he embodied a discipleship of resistance in the face of persecution. Bonhoeffer's witness did not end in his execution, but his story and theological vision remain a constant inspiration and challenge to Christians around the world.

In this class, we will explore Bonhoeffer's ideas on faith, ethics, and resistance and dive into important questions about what it means to live out our beliefs in challenging times. We will also examine the ways in which Bonhoeffer's work speaks to the present moment and how we can draw on his insights to create a more just and compassionate world.

The class is offered entirely online, is donation based (including 0), and will include:
* five keynote lectures from leading Bonhoeffer scholars
* weekly sessions to dig into Bonhoeffer's texts with live QnA
* curated readings for personal reflection
* an online community with fellow participants.
* a resource page with ongoing access to all the content in video and audio

A Special One Day Teach-in w/ Rabbi Joseph Edelheit
[link removed]

The church has a long history of antisemitism that must be addressed. What if it continues to linger unseen in how we read, interpret, and share the central narrative of Jesus? In this teach-in, Rabbi Edelheit will introduce you to the changing contours of antisemitism, uncover its historical roots, and walk us through the texts of Holy Week as we work to wrestle them from a treacherous legacy. Rabbi Joseph and I are excited to have our mutual friend and theologian, Tony Jones, joining us for the day. This deep dive online teach-in is a pay-what-you-want class, and you can watch the archived video any time.
