Last year, we created a Task Force made up of local stakeholders and policy experts, including former U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman Gregory Jaczko, to address the safety and policy challenges related to the storage and removal of the nuclear waste at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.

We then introduced the Spent Fuel Prioritization Act to make sure San Onofre is designated as a high risk site that needs to be addressed immediately.
