Hi Friend,
We’ve heard from several thousand people in support of price transparency in health care so far, but we still haven’t heard from you,
friend.
This is it, your last chance to speak up on the administration’s FINAL price transparency rules for health care. This is your final opportunity to submit comments needed to build a true patient-centered, price-transparent marketplace for health care.
Several administration officials told us that they read every comment and use your input to drive their rules. We don’t want your story or opinions to be excluded from these all-too-critical policy discussions and decision-making.
After all, it is your right to own your healthcare information. It is your right to know how much health care costs upfront. And it is your right to choose what, where, when, how, and from whom you receive care.
Not all of health care is an emergency. In fact, 90% of healthcare services are “shoppable” (i.e. routine or expected).
If prices vary based on factors such as where we get care or how sick we are, then that information should be disclosed and discussed openly before, during, and after receiving care, so we have all the information needed to make proper healthcare decisions.
This is what price transparency would fix, so you’re not left guessing what you owe… or worse, left surprised and unable to plan or pay for the care. Let’s get it fixed.
